Doggone Hungry is a casual PC game made for all ages. You play as DOG, a lovable but large Labrador Retriever whose only goal is to relax with his favorite toy, Quackerjack. Unfortunately, Quackerjack is always being stolen. Save your favorite toy by eating food, getting bigger, and becoming an unstoppable force in the rescue of Quackerjack!
The inspiration behind Doggone Hungry was to create a game that was appealing to a broad scope of users using a toon style. The art team behind the game created a bold and visually appealing aesthetic plan for all the creative assets. This theme became the base asset for the look of the website, business cards and stickers.
The thematic treatment for the Doggone Hungry website utilizes bold colors and rounded text to give a playful feel while imparting all the relevant information to the player. The blue and gold colors for the main page of the website were pulled directly from a color pallet players will identify from the game. The use of a bold serif font lent a formality to the titles while maintaining the game’s playfulness. The background textures on the website are wallpaper textures pulled from the game which gives an omnichannel feel to the different assets and are easily recognizable by players. The business cards expanded on the omnichannel treatment using a color pallet utilized throughout the game. The business card focuses on using 3D models from the game in the front design while the back of the cards makes use of the custom designed font showcased in the game and throughout the print media. Finally, the promotional stickers were designed using an early concept art of DOG shown in costumes as the subject of the stickers.
